...I’m trying to make sense of this because of the similar prices, despite different strokes for different folks. Both have 4 on the floor.

You have this Land Cruiser listed at $55k:

Or this 427 Stingray convertible for $55k:

They did have this proper NSX listed for ~$60k but I believe it sold:

Both the 40 and the c3 drive a lot better in people’s minds than they do on the road.  But they also represent a dream garage for me.

There is no sense to these prices... only crack pipes.

Only the crack pipe price of the Toyota is a Rob Ford sized crack pipe while the C3 is a small-to-regular pipe.

The ‘69 Corvette would be the choice for me. Hell, I’d take one with a small block and automatic. It’s built for cruising and that’s exactly what I’d want to do with it. The LC is built to go offroad, but will somebody actually take one that nice in to the boonies?

Let’s see, should I take the glorified farming equipment, orthe sports car that can’t turn.

I think I’ll have the NSX

That seems like a reasonable price for a droptop big block C orvette. I feel like those were much higher a few years ago.

That seems awfully high for the fj40 and pretty good for the vette if it's numbers matching.

If your driving the Land Cruiser on the road, you’re doing it wrong.

And at $55,000 I don’t think either of those is being purchased because of how they drive, but if you do want that gorgeous 69 ‘vette  to handle better some different wheels/tires ( and a more modern suspension) would do a lot.

The NSX is sold, so no cheating.

Convertible or T-top?

That dream is one I am very partial to as I’m sure I will ( officially) have that ( T-top) dream some day. With some differences though,  as I don’t know if I can get my father to swap out the 454 engine currently in his ‘69 due to sentimental reasons. But I think I’ve convinced him to update the handling, ( and maybe get fuel injection for it). Though even after 20 years he still hasn’t moved past flat primer black.

Even as a fervent box-lover I’m pretty sure I’d take the Corvette.
